Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Daily Debate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Users must be at least 13 years old to use Daily Debate.

Description of Service

Daily Debate is a platform where users can vote on debate topics, view results, and participate in discussions through comments. The service is available on the web and via our mobile app. The core service is free to use. We may display advertising (e.g. banner ads) to support the platform.

User Conduct

When using Daily Debate, you agree NOT to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or hateful
  • Use profanity, slurs, or discriminatory language
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Spam or post repetitive content
  • Attempt to manipulate votes through technical means
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Collect information about other users
  • Use the service for commercial purposes without permission

Content Guidelines

Profanity, slurs, and hateful language are not allowed. We may use automated filtering to detect and block or remove such content.

Comments

  • Keep comments relevant to the debate topic
  • Be respectful of differing opinions
  • No personal attacks or harassment
  • No spam, advertising, or self-promotion
  • Comments may be removed if they violate these guidelines

Debate Suggestions

  • Suggest topics that can be debated with two clear sides
  • Avoid topics that promote hate or discrimination
  • Suggestions are subject to admin approval

Voting

  • Each user is allowed one vote per debate
  • Attempting to vote multiple times is prohibited
  • Votes cannot be changed once submitted
  • Demographic information is optional and anonymous

User Content

By posting content (comments, suggestions) on Daily Debate, you:

  • Grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content
  • Represent that you have the right to post such content
  • Understand that content may be visible to all users

Moderation

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove any content that violates these terms
  • Block users who repeatedly violate guidelines
  • Modify or discontinue features at any time
  • Make final decisions on content disputes

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at our discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these terms.

Disclaimer

Daily Debate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Accuracy of user-submitted content
  • That the service will meet your specific needs

User comments and votes represent individual opinions and do not reflect the views of Daily Debate or its operators.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daily Debate and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
