Our Commitment
Daily Debate is designed to be a respectful space for open discussion. We believe people can disagree without being disrespectful.
These guidelines explain what behavior is allowed, what is not allowed, and how we respond to violations. We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users.
Respectful Behavior
When participating on Daily Debate, you agree to:
- Debate ideas — not attack individuals
- Avoid harassment, bullying, or threatening language
- Avoid excessive profanity, slurs, or discriminatory language
- Keep comments relevant to the debate topic
- Avoid spam, repetitive content, or promotional material
- Respect the privacy and safety of others
Protection of Minors
Daily Debate has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual exploitation of minors, or grooming behavior.
The following is strictly prohibited:
- Any sexual content involving a minor
- Any attempt to exploit, contact, or solicit minors for inappropriate purposes
- Sharing, requesting, or referencing child sexual abuse material
- Content that encourages or promotes harm to minors
Content that violates these standards will be removed promptly. Where required by law, we may report such material to appropriate authorities.
Prohibited Content
The following types of content are not allowed on Daily Debate:
- Content that promotes violence, harm, or self-harm
- Illegal activity or encouragement of illegal acts
- Hate speech or discrimination against individuals or groups
- Sexually explicit content
- Harassment or threats
- Impersonation of another person
- Sharing personal or sensitive information (e.g. phone numbers, addresses, private contact details, financial information)
- Attempts to manipulate votes or disrupt the platform
This list is not exhaustive. We may restrict or remove other content that we determine to be harmful or inappropriate.
We may use a combination of automated systems and manual review to detect and moderate content.
Reporting & Moderation
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the Report (flag) feature within the app or website.
When a report is submitted:
- Content may be reviewed
- Violating content may be removed
- Repeat or severe violations may result in restrictions or account suspension
We aim to review reports in a timely manner but do not guarantee individual responses or immediate action.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Remove or modify content at our discretion
- Suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the service
- Take appropriate action in response to violations
We are not obligated to remove all reported content and do not guarantee that all violations will be identified or addressed.
We may cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for the content you post. By using Daily Debate, you agree to follow these guidelines and understand that violations may result in content removal or loss of access to the platform.
